Picture-0231At this time of year everyone with an interest in interior design has one thing on their mind (apart from our new brochure of course!) , a trip to Decorex.

Held every year in London, Decorex features a fantastic array of designers with everything from lighting and wall papers to outdoor furniture and artificial flowers on display.

Vivian Westwood’s beautiful design for the show entrance was a great start to the day

A lovely spring trend of pea green threading though the show

For those of you that couldn’t make it this year, I thought I’d share some of my favourite bits of this year’s exhibition with you. The trend for soft linens and tweeds with a very British feel was in effect throughout the show.

The ever gorgeous Emily Bond prints always stop me in my tracks

It’s just great to be inspired by some fantastic imagery, innovative styling, and a huge pride in British design Abraham Moon and Sons stand made me want to pull on some knitted socks and roast a chestnut or two.

I love these sweet tea pot prints – with designers of this standard 2013 promises to be a very stylish year !

Le Cuona’s huge photographs were a real show stopper

There were no end of beautiful items on display this year at Decorex, but for me the most extraordinary moment was watching the Chinese silk printer create the most stunning hand painted images with a thick black paint brush and a life time of skill – certainly something I won’t forget in a while.

Did you go this year? I’d love to hear what your highlights were too- why not post a comment or even a photo below and share your fav bits with us…
