Handcrafted Kitchen Details That Make A Big Impact

Handcrafted cupboard and drawer pulls are a simple addition you can make to your home to give a new kitchen a lovely ‘lived in’ feel. This year we are delighted to introduce two new vintage drawer pull designs to our collection, as well as share with you our classic Jim Lawrence favourites.

Inspired by the vintage charm of our ever popular Schoolhouse Drawer Pull, we reimagined the design to create this lovely Larder Drawer Pull. A narrower version that is a little more contemporary and understated in character, but still bringing an authentic feel to the room.

The original Jim Lawrence Schoolhouse Drawer Pull. So called because they are reminiscent of the handles found in Victorian buildings, these pulls are lovingly hand crafted from natural brass using traditional techniques, have a weighty feel that confirms the quality. The understated look  gives them an up to date edge without losing their utilitarian charm.

Our other new addition, these sweet little Cook’s Drawer Pulls are reminiscent of old fashioned jelly moulds. Full of vintage charm, they are the perfect finishing touch to your cupboards and drawers. Forged from solid natural brass that has been pressed and reeded for an additional decorative touch, these lovely handles will look equally at home in a Victorian town house as they would a country cottage.

The Forged Ball Handle has a hammered surface and is made in a choice of forged iron and paint finishes. The textured surface makes for a great rustic look, and looks particularly at home in period cottages or barn conversions.

The Reeded Pull Knob for cupboards and drawers is supplied in natural brass, which is lightly antiqued or overlaid with a choice of paint finishes. The classical beehive style design is practical but also enhances style and sophistication, ensuring a timeless elegance for your kitchen style.

Available in a large or small size, the neat, smooth design of our Napier Cupboard Pulls offer practicality but also enhances a timeless sophistication, complimenting any cupboard or draw. This door knob is made using traditional blacksmithing techniques, the intricate detail in the design highlights the skill of our blacksmiths and their ability to hand craft door pulls that suit both contemporary and period properties. As with all of our pulls, we make a range of door and window furniture using the same finishes, so you can create a uniformed look around your home.

The Gilby Drawer Pull is handmade in solid brass. It is available either lightly antiqued to show off the natural brass or in our beautiful new Heritage Copper finish. The simplistic styling and smooth surface accentuates a feeling of luxury that is not visually overwhelming but will complement any traditional or contemporary home.

This traditional Knotted Drawer Pull is designed to complement period properties. Each knot is hand-tied by one of our blacksmiths enhancing a personalised effect that can only be achieved through hand-made products. Perfect for taller, narrow cupboards for a slimline but impactful feature.

A simple but rustic-look Suffolk Drawer Pull. Hand forged with a lovely textured handle, this pull gives your kitchen style a practical edge with a nod to traditional period homes. This Beeswax finish highlights the contrast in textures, offering a bold yet unique look that can be paired with pastel colours to finish your room off perfectly.

Reimagining Scotland Hall

Jim and Sheena, his wife and business co-owner, began their married life here. The business they continue to build today has grown from humble roots at its kitchen table.  Over the last year Jim and Sheena have transformed this beautiful 17th century barn into a stunning modern rustic home away from home. Not only does it offer a taster of quintessential British country life, but of course the barn is the perfect backdrop to showcase our elegant lighting and home furnishings.

In our brand new spring mailer we invite you to explore each reimagined room, capturing Jim Lawrence modern country style at its finest…

Oversized cream linen shades create a gentle, translucent light over the dining table, softening the heavy framework of the beams in this spacious dining area. White furniture creates an almost weightless dining experience – perfect for late spring evenings and summer lunches.

Layering a sitting room or snug with pools of light from different sources creates a balanced sphere of cosiness for when the night draws in. With the dimmers in place and resting on our soft cushions, the added glow of a real log burner is sure to help you unwind.

Whilst our Harleston Lamps add a soothing glow to snooze by, useful task lighting from our carefully positioned  Edgeware Spotlights and Holt Wall Lights offer stronger directional light for those evenings curled up with a good book.

Our popular Bletchley Bathroom Collection encapsulates a simple, old-fashioned utility style that blends seamlessly with the period bath and other fittings. As with Scotland Hall as a whole, the warmth of our Antiqued Brass finish is a warm contrast to the modern white space, picking up tones of the rustic beams – embracing the character perks rather than masking them is what truly makes period barn restorations so magical.

Everything You Need To Know About Bulbs

Bulb, bulbs, bulbs. Are they dimmable? Are they the right wattage? Will they fit into this pendant holder? Is it suitable for a bathroom? We receive many queries and conundrums regarding light bulbs, so thought it was high time we put together some information for you to refer to when adding the all important finishing touch to your lighting.

Although there are hundreds of light fittings in existence most homes only have a few different types the most common of which are shown in this blog post. The ‘B’ stands for bayonet and is most commonly used in the UK due to the British Empire. The ‘E’ stands for Edison Screw and is dominant in the USA and Europe due to Thomas Edison.

The vast majority of Jim Lawrence lights will take either a small or standard bayonet bulb. In many cases we can adapt the light fittings to take a screw bulb, but you will need to call us to specify this. Each light will have the bulb information on its product page to give you a helping hand.

The bulb’s shape is not just about how pretty it looks but more importantly, about how it throws its light. Most household lights will require bulbs that direct the light everywhere (omnidirectional) but there are some that are designed to give a focussed light such as reflector bulbs, or Gu10 spot bulbs that often used in recessed ceiling lighting.

  1. SMALL BAYONET BULB

Also known as SBC or B15 – has a small twist and push fitting

  • Generally lower wattage than larger bulbs. Most are around 5 watts or equivalent to a 40 watt traditional (incandescent) bulb.
  • We supply two types of SBC bulbs; our Clear Candle LED Bulb (shown) which has a slightly elongated shape and is the recommended bulb for all wall lights that have fabric shades and our SBC Golf LED Ball bulb which is round.
  • Dimmable – all our small bayonet LED bulbs are dimmable if used with a dimmer switch.
  • All our small bayonet bulbs have a warm white light.

STANDARD BAYONET BULB

Also known as BS or B22 – has a larger twist and push fitting

  • Generally higher wattage than the small bayonet bulbs, but not always. Our standard bulb is a Classic GLS LED bulb that is 7.5 watts or 806 lumens, which is equivalent to a 60 watt traditional (incandescent bulb)
  • We supply five different styles of BC bulbs, all LEDs – our Classic GLS LED (7.5W) is the standard ‘pear’ shape, our small Golf Ball LED (4W), which is round, our handsome Squirrel Cage LED (6.5W) which is a large alternative, our Tube LED (5W) for elongated shades and our oversized Globe LED (6W).
  • Dimmable – all our standard bayonet LED bulbs are dimmable if used with a dimmer switch.
  • All our BC bulbs have a warm white light.

SMALL EDISON SCREW BULB

Also known as ES or E14 – a small screw in fitting that is dominant in Europe and the USA

  • Generally lower wattage than larger screw bulbs. Most are around 5 watts or equivalent to a 40 watt traditional (incandescent) bulb.
  • We supply one style of ES screw bulb – our 4W ES LED Clear Candle Bulb (shown) which has a slightly elongated shape and can be used as an alternative to the small bayonet bulb for all our wall lights that have fabric shades. Please call us should you need your light fitted to take a screw bulb.
  • Dimmable – our Small Edison Screw LED bulb is dimmable if used with a dimmer switch.
  • Our Small Edison Screw bulb has a warm white light.

 GU10 SPOTLIGHT BULB

Also known as a spotlight or PAR16 bulb – has two pins with small feet on the end that you push and twist into place similarly to a bayonet bulb

  • The GU10 is the most common type of spotlight bulb found in most homes today. Often used in places where a bright, directional light is needed, such as kitchens and workspaces.
  • It has the classic spotlight shape, with a narrow base that widens into a flat or slightly rounded aperture.
  • Halogen GU10 bulbs are commonly made from plastic, not to be confused with an MR16 bulb that looks identical except for the much smaller, needle-like that will not fit a GU10 lamp.
  • We stock a 5 watt LED GU10 that is 345lumens, equivalent to a 50watt traditional bulb.
  • Dimmable – our GU10 LED is dimmable if used with a dimmer switch.
  • Our GU10 LED has a warm white light

G9 LED BULB

  • As an LED, it is incredibly energy efficient, only using a fraction of the energy of a regular halogen bulb and lasting, on average, around 6,000 hours
  • Kindly note our G9 bulb is not dimmable
  • Warm white in colour
  • Instantly lighting to full strength, it has an output of 2.5W, similar to an 18W traditional bulb

Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) have been in common use for over half a century, mainly in electronic equipment, where they’re used as signals and indicators (standby lights, for example). It is only in recent years that LED light bulbs have been widely available. They are an energy efficient, longer lasting replacement for incandescent light bulbs. They light to full strength straight away, emit the same brightness as traditional bulbs and only use a fraction of the power – around 90% less energy than traditional light bulbs.

They also last 10-20 times longer and unlike most energy saving compact fluorescent bulbs, can actually be recycled. When shopping for LED bulbs, remember the wattage doesn’t denote its brightness. A 5W LED bulb is as bright as a 50W incandescent bulb. The lumens (lm) rating of a light bulb is instead the best indicator of its brightness.

Watts (W) – Watts is the measure of energy consumed

Lumens (LM) – Lumens is the measurement of light output

Efficiency – Efficiency is the number of lumens generated for each Watt of energy consumed- Lm/W

Feeling more confident? Take a look at our lighting to decide which gorgeous design you need to pair with our bulbs. If you have any further technical questions regarding your lights, don’t hesitate to call up our knowledgeable customer service team on 01473 826969. Happy shopping!

The Hunstanton Velvet Collection

Our sumptuous new Hunstanton Velvets, available in a choice of four stylish colourways, are just what you need to add a touch of luxury to the home.

Our designs are very much influenced by our Great British heritage. Inspired by the sea and skyscapes of north Norfolk, we wanted this range to evoke the dramatic sunsets and vast, stretched out sands of Hunstanton and the surrounding coastline. Given a softer twist for the home environment, you can choose from Dusky Pink, a mid-tone Mole grey, a punchy Teal or rich Navy to suit any interior style.

Though velvet is a natural nod to historical opulence, the fabric has never been more relevant. According to Living Etc’s 2019 Trend Report, searches for velvet have increased by 400% over past six months as the most searched for fabric. With velvet beds and sofas as some of the most covetable but more costly ways to bring the look home, we know our elegant Hunstanton range will ease seamlessly into your home style, ensuring you have the gorgeous accessories to match…

Cushions are a must-have styling tool for any home, as well as a must-have comfort tool! Colour and texture is crucial to create a relaxing space, but also for personalising the room. Adding a cushion or two is an easy way to freshen up your existing colourway or as an accent in a new scheme. These new oversized cushion covers have a clean, unpiped seam and will catch your eye wherever they sit. All of our cushions are handmade here in our Suffolk workshop by our talented team of cushion makers – ready to be shown off with a plump feather pad.

Create the perfect cosy reading corner in a bedroom, study or living room. Our velvet shades add a softness to the space in the daylight, and help to create a gently atmospheric glow when the sun goes down. The Hunstanton Mole Candle Shade is a delightful companion to the Hanson Wall Light in Antiqued Brass. To pair with other lamps and pendants, we offer Tapered, Half, Cylinder, Empire AND Oval shades in all of our Hunstanton colours, ensuring every one can enjoy them no matter your style.

Velvet…in the bathroom? That’s right. We have made sure that the Hunstanton shades suit every one of our lighting finishes, making these bathroom shades as versatile as the fabrics you might put in any room of the house. Pair our IP rated lights with a Hunstanton shade and make your bathroom feel as it should – as luxurious and lived-in as the rest of the home.

Our velvet fabric that we use for these products is also available to buy separately. You can transform it into anything you like! Curtains and blinds are a natural go-to, but why not upholster some furniture to create your perfect look? The high quality fabric is what you would expect from any Jim Lawrence product, along with exceptional customer service should you have any questions about our cut lengths.

Thanks to the carefully selected collection of tones, you can mix and match any of our velvets to introduce colour in a cohesive way into the home. Shop the full Hunstanton collection here. If you want to share your Hunstanton styling with us, we’d love to see! Follow us @JimLawrenceMade on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to tag us in your photos. Introducing Susie Blue’s Rooms

Love eclectic interiors? You’ve come to the right place. ‘Susie Blue’s Rooms’ is a sublime Instagram account documenting Susie Mears’ London and Suffolk homes. Deliciously dark Victorian inspired decor fills her feed, bursting with unique curiosa and wonderful second-hand finds. We spoke to self-confessed vintage addict Susie about her eclectic look and how to refine your own home style.

Jim Lawrence Bathroom Lighting Antiqued Brass
As with many Instagram ‘love at first sights’, we fell head over heels for your bathroom, then even further on seeing the rest of the house. How would you describe your interior style?

Thank you and I’m so delighted with how the bathroom turned out. My interior style is heavily influenced by our vintage finds. My husband and I are both admirers and buyers of reclaimed items and we virtually never buy new furniture or pieces for the home. Our style is quite eclectic, rustic, a bit quirky with a touch of old grandeur.

You work at Finchley Nurseries, a garden centre in London. How do your plants and perennials play into your décor choices?

I don’t think that the plants and perennials influence my decor choices and I haven’t followed the indoor plant trend as its not really me. However, the dahlia field at work stole my heart and when we bought the cottage I insisted on dahlia beds. I have over 30 dahlias and they make the best cut flowers which fill the cottage.

Jim Lawrence Bathroom Lighting Antiqued Brass

Why did you start documenting your home online?

I first posted on Instagram a couple of years ago with some photos of the Christmas shop I had set up at Finchley Nurseries. I had no understanding of the whole Instagram thing at all! I then put up a few photos of my Christmas decor as I’m totally obsessed with Christmas. Once we started doing the loft I posted a few pics and found I was really enjoying taking the photos and interacting with like minded people. It is now a daily ritual and I have formed connections with some lovely and inspiring people.

Your rooms feel like they contain their own whimsical worlds. What is it you love most about putting together a room?

I have been with my husband for such a long time so the rooms have evolved rather than been put together. However when we did the loft it was a clean slate so I loved getting the initial idea and then running with it and this was the paneling. We bought a huge lot of different sizes of Georgian paneling from the auction a year before we started the loft. This was used on every wall in the bedroom and then new head height paneling was used in the bathroom and hallway. This gave instant character to a new build and then buying the old pieces was the fun part.

There’s certainly a cosy french farmhouse feel to your home, but woven together with a love for a darker, eclectic Victorian influence. Where do you source most of your inspiration?

The inspiration definitely comes from the old pieces we buy rather than online or magazines. When we bought the cottage it had a fitted eighties kitchen which we ripped out. We then bought an old shop counter at the auction and then another 3! It was great fun putting together an unfitted kitchen. We even used an old Victorian workbench to put the kitchen sink on!

What influenced your decision to go for dark walls?

We first went very dark grey in our bedroom ten years ago using a Sanderson paint called Battlement. I’d seen an image of a dark room in a grand old house and loved it. We loved the bedroom so much that the kitchen soon followed and then the lounge. Virtually the whole house is dark and moody now but I’m currently redecorating the kitchen with black woodwork and white walls with the lounge to follow.

We love your hand embroidered additions to your displays. How else do you tap into adding your own personality into the home?

I make my own cushions so they are always unique and again its by buying reclaimed one off pieces and using them in a different way. We have a large old french cross on our landing, and a large bird sculpture on the floor in the lounge-its always good to have the element of surprise!

You are London based, but many of the images are shot in your gorgeous second home in Suffolk. With many incredible vintage finds throughout the home, can you share with us any hidden gems for interior inspiration nearby?

A large majority of the furniture in the cottage was bought at TW Gaze auction rooms in Diss. They periodically have an architectural salvage auction where we sometimes pick up special pieces. I also love the yearly antique street markets held in Halesworth, Bungay and Beccles.

Do you have any truly unique items in your home that you could never part with?

There are a few things that i will never part with. In the cottage we have a hand painted 1930s velvet sofa bought for £60 from ebay – I’ve never seen another one. I also adore our large, old French mirror in our bedroom bought at 4am in the dark at a french market. Lastly our heavy, wrought iron angel candlesticks in our lounge which I will never tire of.

In your opinion, what are three three key ingredients for creating the perfect home?

Firstly, only ever buy things you love – I would rather go without than make do. Secondly, stay true to your own style and don’t just buy things because they are in fashion. Thirdly, get the lighting right!

Last but not least, what’s next for ‘susieblues-rooms’?

I have such an addiction for buying but you can only have so much stuff! People seem to like what I choose so I’m hoping to start an online shop with vintage treasures, carefully curated homeware and some of my unique and homemade cushions. Watch this space…

The Long Melford Swan

Since falling in love with The Hadleigh Ram, we often find ourselves recommending its sister locations that you can find in a number of East Anglia’s favourite historic towns. The Lavenham Greyhound, The Ram and now the Old Crown in Girton Cambridge, are all owned and designed by family run business Stuart Inns.

The Swan also offers accommodation, which comprises of a beautiful boutique hotel that offers four very unique and fabulous rooms. Naturally, we jumped at the opportunity to have a look around and admire our products in this beautiful setting…

We have hundreds of backplate and handle combinations to choose from, so we love seeing what people decide to go for. Here they have used our Bromley Handles which are a delightful reeded, tactile design. Complimented with our Antiqued Brass Numbers, these details give the entrance to the rooms a quality, traditional feel.

The fabulous mix of contemporary and traditional works seamlessly here. Our Harleston Table Lamp in Nickel gives a modern twist to the room atop the ornate bedside table. The French Grey Drum Shade blends beautifully against the wallpaper, complimenting the vibrant blue headboard and emanating the perfect gentle hotel glow.

The bathrooms are finished in a unique wall tile which replicated the appearance and feel of a wood cabin. Our Hinton Wall Light has been used horizontally and allowed for the light to flow in all directions.

If you are coming to visit our showroom then why not stop off in the beautiful Long Melford on your way? Not only is the Swan decor a feast for the eyes, their menu is sure to go down a treat too. You can also take a peek into the neighboring Duck Deli, also owned by Stuart Inns. Stocked full of local artisan goods that you will find woven through their delicious menus, it’s a must-visit spot for foodies.

A Jim Lawrence Christmas Special

With Christmas around the corner we thought it fitting to shows some appreciation for our dedicated and, it goes without saying, very stylish customers. We usually focus on one home in our Beautiful Home series, but at this festive time of giving made us want to share out the love!

We’ve been inundated with beautiful imagery of our lights and home accessories worked into Christmas décor, and with such an abundance of interior and exterior inspiration, we wanted to share it all with you…

Emma of @thelittlestonecottage never fails to amaze with her chic modern country style. Here she pairs our Antiqued Brass Heart Knocker and the Shaftsbury Front Door Knob with cotton, eucalyptus and pine cones for a subtle but delightfully rustic stylish welcome.

We’re no strangers to the beauty of the Cotswolds, but Pollyanna of @the_old_school_house always stops us in our scrolling tracks when she posts shots of this showstopping entrance. The powder blue door helps her wreath to sing! Our Ava Porch Light will illuminate the space perfectly – a gorgeous ‘welcome home’ sight on these chilly winter nights.

A pair of Wall Mounted Hackney Lanterns are a wonderful match for a traditionally festive exterior. There is something extremely inviting and cosy about this country entrance from the @yorkshirepartridge, we can smell mince pieces and mulled wine already!

Sian of @interiorbliss_design is always wowing us with her innovative styling, and her Christmas looks are no different! It goes to show that wreaths are just as pretty indoors and out, however you choose to interpret them! Get the look with our Antiqued Brass Pendant Lampholders.

This one is just missing a dusting of snow… Deborah sent this in on Facebook and the Polished Heart Knocker has never looked so at home. We’d be tempted to leave this up all year round!

A divine colour palette, all year round. You’ll recognise this front door because we love posting it so much… Emmy of @emmyhomeinteriors always seems to dress up her door frame with the most vibrant foliage, and with Christmas here she has made no exception. The Peacock Lantern in Antiqued Brass is a permanent fixture that looks like it was designed just for her…

Another Facebook-sourced masterpiece! Alison’s Antiqued Brass Granary Light oversees our Polished Knocker and Scrolled Handle, lit up by pops of deep green and red completing this very ‘Jim Lawrence’ Christmassy home…

Keep an eye out for more like this on our Instagram. Have you got some shots you’d like to share? Please follow us @JimLawrenceMade and tag us in your Christmas interior and exterior pictures. Chalet Mirabelle by Jacqueline Caley Interior Design

Our favourite interior to swoon over is finally available for booking. We’ve been watching intently as Jacqueline Caley Interior Design has unveiled each room in the gorgeous Chalet Mirabelle. Each divine corner of her French ski chalet is home to a Jim Lawrence item or two, and we are so excited that you can all see it now too.

Nestled into the hillside with spectacular views of Mont Blanc, the chalet is situated on Le Bettex ski run a couple of moments stroll to the piste. With this idyllic location, Jacqueline knew the interior had to be above bar. Often finding herself on trips where her family were missing things that would make life just that bit easier, Jacqueline wanted Chalet Mirabelle to, in every facet, cater for a myriad of family dynamics.

“For the chalet interiors I began to brainstorm how I wanted it to feel – these were the highlights: contemporary, cosy, warm, polished, family-friendly, snug, organized, calm, comfortable, eclectic, inviting. I wanted clearly defined elements of formal vs. informal, wow-moments for older and younger, and ‘yes’ places for children (where you don’t find yourself saying ‘No’ every five minutes!) places teenagers could slope off to and places that felt completely indulgent for adults.”

A truly inspired kids playroom brings the outside in, pulling together motifs from nature and the local wildlife. Our Double Star Light in Old Ivory is a magical addition to this wonderful hideaway – mirroring the vast sky that encompasses the chalet at night. For a more grown up look (though we wouldn’t mind staying in there!) a pair of Hanson Wall Lights illuminate this statement headboard, perfect for catching up on a holiday book or two. How about breakfast in bed?

Jacqueline’s vision for the chalet was to use sustainable, recyclable, eco-friendly, no-nasties products, from toys, to cleaning products, kitchen-ware and spa products. We were thrilled to find our products being used so thoroughly, and love the rustic edge they bring to the decor.

A great example is the luxurious kitchen, streamlined by slick details of lucite and glass, contrasted with our textural aged brass against dark wood and shaggy sheepskins. A perfect combination of natural, tactile products that creates a carefully considered, quality atmosphere. We love how the chairs look like little snow-capped peaks! A trio of Antiqued Brass Walcot Pendants was a great choice for this space – we love how the open plan living room also taps into the antiqued brass theme.

What more do you need after a day of hitting the slopes than an indulgent trip to one of the nearby restorative spas, quality family time, and a divine interior to settle into? As Jacqueline says, Mother Nature can take care of the rest! Just sit back and enjoy the view…

To follow Jacqueline’s design journey, make sure to take a look at @chalet_mirabelle on Instagram or even make a booking on her website. Browse our full collection of lighting here. Want to keep up to date with our own designs? Follow us @JimLawrenceMade. Images courtesy of Susie Lowe.

5 Ways To Refresh Your Outdoor Lighting

With winter in full swing, we tend to focus more on the inside of our homes rather than the outside. We spend time lighting scented candles, pulling out blankets, hanging wreaths and cranking up the heating. The days spent gardening whittle down, wooden furniture is hauled into sheds and the days of barbecues are long forgotten. Though Autumn and Winter may bring some challenges (particularly for remote period homes) these can be tackled with clever interior and exterior choices.

We’ve spoken a lot about the importance of your home exterior from a tidy, practical point of view in our conduit blog, but what about when you are simply looking for a stylish visual update? A beautiful and cleverly positioned outdoor light is exactly what you need to prepare your home for the longer, darker nights. We’ve picked 5 key areas in which you can refresh your exterior with a lantern, pendant, flush or wall light to add an instant a wow factor to your property.

Your porch and front door is the first thing yourself and your guests will notice when arriving, particularly if it is well lit and inviting on a dark winter night! A large statement lantern like our Hackney Chain Mounted Lantern is an classic design for defining the entry to your home.

If you are looking for something a little more dainty, why not try our Holborn Outdoor Flush Fitting Light for a pretty indoor-outdoor feel? Individually hand made glass shades will bring a touch of luxury to your entrance whilst the flush is perfect for those who need to save space.

If you do not have a porch, then we suggest brightening either side of your front door with two wall lights. The Matt Black Finsbury Lanterns are a slick, sophisticated way to light up your home. Inviting a touch of modernity with the contemporary design but with a nod to our Great British heritage with retro vintage-look bulbs, the Finsbury is a perfect marrying of eras. We love this 1950’s home refurb from customer Sian.

In addition, downlighters are a stylish solution for darker doorways. Match the finish to your house name or number for the complete collection of picture perfect door furniture.

Whether you need to light up an alley way beside your home or simply want to illuminate the darker corners of your home that face the garden, we have several solutions to suit your needs. Our Corner Mounted Stable Light is a go-to choice. Also available with a flat mounting fitting, its beautifully simplistic design with a long neck and simple glass shade will give a rural, countryside charm to your outdoor space.

The Doncaster LED Light is suited to the smallest of spaces, but with no shortage of design detail. With an overall depth of just 5.4cm it will sit neatly in even the narrowest of spaces that you need to brighten up. Paired with our conduit kit, the Doncaster is ideal for running along outdoor walls and passageways.

We love the Peacock Lantern, and know you do too. You can’t ask for much more in an outdoor lantern. Hand made in solid brass with a decorative peacock emblem and a beautiful mirror in the back, the mirror reflects the light of the bulb when in use and the beauty of the garden when it’s not. Perfect for parties in the summer, and pretty reflecting a snow-capped garden in winter.

Customer Emmy’s home style lends itself to winter, don’t you think? Whether inside or out, beautiful beams and cosy nooks need showing off. The shapely Boathouse lights are dainty enough in size but powerful enough to light up the exit your garden or patio when dusk draws in.

This is where we like to get industrial. Whether a shed, garage, workshop or barn, we trust our industrial-inspired favourites will suit your needs. The Bulkhead Outdoor Light was designed with Jim’s family farm in mind. He wanted to create a stylish and practical outdoor light that would also conceal ugly exterior wires at the farm. With its robust and vintage-inspired styling, it will be sure to weather any storm.

Taking influence from the nautical lighting of days gone by, the Ships light can be bought either ceiling or wall mounted in its petite size, making either style incredibly versatile for your range of outbuilding locations.

Our very first showroom sits beside our workshops in Hadleigh, an historic market town in Suffolk.
